Why we are doing this is to share an amazing setting, to fill that setting with joyful music, and at the same time we gather to pitch in for a good cause.  It is the kind of place and time that generations remember. Watch the tides roll in and out, and see the shore birds dancing, get lost in the sparkle of the sun off the choppy waters.  Marina Park is 30 acres of green grass, playgrounds, volley ball courts, walking trails, five large picnic areas made for grilling,
and a view of the fog rolling over the peninsula hills to savor like a slow motion breaking wave. Imagine listening to live music as the sun sinks behind reddening fog on a warm summer day overlooking the San Francisco Bay.   Marina Park is the perfect place for family fun, and while we play together we also have an opportunity to help our neighbors who are hungry.  This is the scene for great talent and great passion and great connections.
The Seagull Area, Northwest Marina Park

The address of Marina Park is 13801 Monarch Bay Dr., San Leandro, CA 94577.  For driving directions, take the Westbound Marina Blvd. exit from Hwy 880, follow it to the end, then veer left on Monarch Bay Dr. until you see the balloons and banners.

Alcohol is not served nor may it be consumed at the park by law. Bottled water and diet soda will be sold at the event for $1 each.

Great food
will be available at a reasonable price.  We will be Bar-B-Queuing hamburgers and polish sausages on the new Grandaddy Grill with ten burners.  In honor of the Food Bank's healthy meals initiative, fruit cups and veggie platters will also be on the menu.  All food sales are donated to the Alameda County Community Food Bank.  The more you eat the more we give.

Parking is free but at your own risk in the Heron and Seagull lots adjacent, and along both sides of Monarch Bay Drive.  Further north there is additional parking in the east half of the lot shared by El Torito's and there is unpaved parking on the east side of Monarch Bay Dr between Marina Blvd and Fairway Dr.  We do not have permission to use the private parking lots of businesses next to Marina Park nor the boat launch lot. Public trans- portation is available using BART and the AC Transit Bus #89.

Access is free to the grounds of the park, trails, and playground areas in the park to all visitors.   There is stage view seating within designated areas for upto 300 people at the Seagull stage.  The price of entrance for the Seagull area is $10 adults, $5 for seniors 65 and over and children under 12.  Click here to purchase tickets in advance.

In and out privileges are allowed for both stages with the proper hand stamp or authorized wrist band.

Some security is provided but keep an eye on your belongings and keep the atmosphere family friendly.
Guest speakers from the Food Bank will brief us on their mission and the challenges we face locally.  Please listen carefully to hear how you can help.

Between music performances, make a point to walk the perimeter of the park and out around the cove.  The fitness trail has been redesigned with brand new exercise stations.  It ranks among the very top walking trails anywhere.
